Maybe you have attended a “drop-in” class at the rec center, a local gym, or a yoga studio. Maybe you take spin/cycle or barre classes on occasion, when it works with your schedule or when inspiration strikes.
Single class drop-ins are a wonderful option and I personally take advantage of them when I’m traveling - or just to develop my own toolkit as a coach who loves to play with many different fitness modalities.
Our model at Atagol is different, as it is built around our very treasured and highly committed, connected members. We have structured this most intentionally, passing up the “drop-in” as a source of revenue, to ensure long-term results, holistic coaching support, and consistent community.
Over the years I have observed that when individuals are committed to a specific system, they stop treating exercise and healthy lifestyle choices as something to do when it’s convenient. And it simply becomes their identity.
Our team members are all aware that Camilla just celebrated her 50th birthday among close friends, that Sarah’s daughter is studying abroad in Spain for the semester, that Heather is preparing her final goodbyes to her mother any day now, that Barbara recently retired after 38 years as a family practice physician, etc., etc.
Most of us have been part of this team since before the pandemic, and together we have moved through the unknown, staying healthy, grounded and connected. Together, we’ve gotten stronger, more sturdy, more dynamic, more mobile, and more agile. And we’ve moved emotions through our bodies - we’ve welcomed one another into the vulnerable places of our spirits - we’ve challenged one another to think critically about the parts of life that matter the most.
So, while we absolutely welcome new members with open arms, women who are committed to this system and this team for the long haul, we do not offer drop-in classes. Bottom line, our true magic of loving you into the healthiest YOU is far beyond the confines of any single, 45-minute session.
